It was due to the needs of our dogs that led us to open Woofy’s Dog Field. We had always planned to be able to take our dogs for lovely walks in the countryside whilst enabling them to have time off lead. However due to their own individual needs this became increasingly difficult. Woofy would often run off to explore his environment or meet other dogs, taking some time to get him to return. Shelby was a lockdown puppy, and therefore missed out on early socialization. As a result she became quite anxious and would bark excessively at other dogs when we were out on walks. Whilst out with Bruno Bear, he would become distracted whilst we were trying to complete necessary puppy training.  We adopted little Coco from Paws4thought and needed somewhere safe for her to learn recall training.

We wanted to be able to have an environment where we could enjoy being in the countryside whilst having somewhere we could use exclusively for our own dogs.
